Helen O'Connell was, arguably, the best of bandleader Jimmy Dorsey's vocalists, and over her relatively short tenure with the orchestra proved to be a winner.  Here she is in two dozen of her finest recordings with the band, including three duets with Bob Eberly.  Her laid-back style and dry wit comes through in many of the songs.  She was unique, no doubt of it.  This CD has proved one of Flare's most successful releases - and not surprisingly - there is so much talent on display.
