This splendid release presents two of Miss Alberghetti's finest albums, now together on one CD, along with bonus tracks never before issued. The first selections are the tracks from her 1957 album I CAN'T RESIST YOU, a collection of love songs backed by the lush sound of Van Alexander's orchestra. The second, LOVE MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND, followed her spectacular Broadway success in the musical CARNIVAL, for which she won the Tony Award. Recorded in sparkling stereo, it offers a more eclectic mix of ballads and up-tunes - all presented in the singer's inimitable style, and backed by the Luther Henderson orchestra. The collection ends with two tender lullabies.
