In her long career, English-born Beryl Davis captured the hearts not only of the British but of the American people too. This collection is taken from her recordings made on both sides of the Atlantic, from 1939 through to 1976. And what a collection it is. Among the gems she is heard in some of her earliest recordings with the Oscar Rabin Band, and in the beautiful numbers with the David Rose Orchestra. The collection has a wonderful finale with her thrilling renditions of Storms of Troubled Times and Over the Rainbow.
