"Every song I have translated is well translated, the one who works on the very difficult songs with me is Dee Shipman. I know her telephone number by heart, and her fax. It goes back and forth - 'No! I don't like this word!' And she comes back and says 'Because you don't understand English!' So I have to convince her and she has to convince me, and the rapport is fantastic."

- Charles Aznavour

Home And Dry
(Dee Shipman / Herman Van Veen)

She is out of the clinic
She is clean
Unhooked and habit - free........
Runs upstairs and calls out
"Daddy
Mummy
I'm home, it's me...!"

And father nods his head and says
"Hi kid, I'm glad you're home
Hang on there, the football's nearly through"
And mother waves from the telephone
"It's Aunt Annie dear, be right with you..."
And her sister reads and chews some gum

She is out of the clinic
She is clean
Unhooked and free
Turns each tap 'til the water pours
Opens wide all the windows and doors
"Daddy
Mummy
I'm home it's me..........!"

And father nods his head and says
"Oh hi kid, glad you're home
Hang on there, the football's nearly through"
And mother waves from the telephone
"It's Aunt Annie dear, be right with you..."
And her sister reads and chews some gum

She is out of the clinic
She is clean
Unhooked and dry
Runs up to the roof top
On the edge she cries
"Daddy
Mummy
I can fly.......!"
