This is Flare's first CD release of the many fine recordings made by Leo Reisman, one of the great bandleaders of the twenties, thirties and forties.  His name might not be familiar to all the record collectors of today - if so, what a treat they have been missing!  The vocalists alone on this CD are worth the price - Fred Astaire, Adele Astaire, Felix Knight, Lee Wiley, Clifton Webb - the list goes on.  And what performances of classic songs: the great composer Harold Arlen singing his own composition Stormy Weather.  A stunning album.
